1）治療法確立のため
“iPS for ALS” – ALS治療の可能性を秘めた、iPS細胞研究を支援します。山中教授の成果により、iPS細胞への関心が高まっています。iPS細胞樹立の成功により、様々な難病の治療研究が大きく前進しました。極めて進行の速いALS の治療は時間との戦いであり、iPS細胞技術の実用化がALS治療の早期普及への鍵となっています。
1) For a cure
“iPS for ALS” - To support iPS research towards a cure for ALS. iPS has become a household term, thanks to Dr. Yamanaka. There have been significant advancements towards cures for various terminal diseases thru iPS research. Utilizing iPS technology is crucial in making a cure available to the public as soon as possible. Unfortunately it is a race against time for ALS patients.
2）患者へ生活向上のため
可能な限り普通の生活、苦しみの少ない生活を、ALS患者は最新技術によって手に入れることができます。しかし、公的医療保険の殆どの規約は、これらの技術を使った介護用品を生活必需品ではなく、ぜいたく品として定めています。私たちは、これらの保険制度を改善するべく、様々な角度から政府に働きかけます。END ALS 協会でこれら介護用品を購入し、ALS患者に提供する等、即実行可能な施策を自ら行い、政府に示すことによって取り組み強化を促します。
2) For comfort
Technology makes all of the difference in allowing ALS patients to live as normally/comfortably as possible. Many parts of the government insurance policies recognize this as luxury and not a necessity. We will challenge these insurance coverage policies to change from various angles. This will include the purchase and delivery of these products for ALS patients from the ENDALS Association as an example and inspiration for government to follow.
